“Do not disturb”! While most of us base our decisions on how well similar experiences turned out in the past, a new study out of the U.K.’s Bangor University shows that getting interrupted while weighing the pros and cons of a big choice—such as which house to buy or whether to change jobs—short-circuits our decision-making process. Result: We tend to focus on the possible positive outcomes while ignoring potential problems.
