Think again! You’re actually more likely to stick to new healthy habits when your usual routine is disrupted, reveals a recent University of South Carolina study. And the reason is simple: Thanks to the upheaval already going on in your life, your brain is in a “change mindset”, making it more willing to break old habits and adopt new ones than if things were running smoothly!
