Givens, Ph.D., director of the Center for Nonverbal Studies in Spokane, Washington.</p>
<p><em>Tip:</em> Make a bigger impression by keeping those hands moving! “Using no hand gestures at all sends the message that you lack conviction and aren’t friendly,” says Givens.</p>
